The standard "drop" of a tablecloth is 9"-14" with the longer drop being the most formal. A long drop is more elegant, especially for cloths with an elaborate border, but may be unwieldy for every day. Calculating the size needed is easy: Simply measure the width and the length of the table, and add 18"-28" For example, a table measuring 36" wide by 70" long would require a tablecloth that is between 54"-64" wide and 88"-98" long. In this case, we would recommend a 63" x 95" tablecloth (or near that size). Measuring your table is the most accurate way to get a cloth that fits.
