A gift registry is a free service offered by European Tableware. The registry can be set up for any occasion you choose–wedding, shower, anniversary, retirement, birthday, housewarming, or any special occasion! The registry is a wish list of gifts that the registrant would be happy to receive. There is no obligation to buy anything.
A gift registry takes the guesswork out of gift giving for your guests. You can specify exactly what you would like to receive, avoiding unwanted or duplicate gifts.
We wrap all Gift Registry packages for free for your gift givers. We also offer them free shipping within the continental United States. What could be easier?!
Our registry will allow you to have up to five registries under your name(s). For example, you may want a separate registry for a wedding shower, a wedding and a housewarming. You will set up one registry at a time.
If you are registering for dinnerware, consider starting with 8 place settings. The basic pieces for a casual set would include a dinner plate, salad plate, cereal/soup bowl and a mug. If you already have a casual set, this is the perfect time to begin your formal dinnerware collection. A basic formal setting includes a dinner plate, salad plate, tea or canape plate, and a tea cup and saucer. Then complete your wish list with serving pieces, glassware, tablecloths, napkin rings, placemats, even kitchen towels.
Begin by clicking the Create/Edit Registry link in the lefthand column at EuropeanTableware.com. You will be asked to create an account if you do not have one. Then follow the Add Registry link. The creation of your registry is free.
On the Gift Registry page that lists your name, click on Select on the far right. You are ready to start shopping. Find the item you want and then click on the item photo to get the item description. Choose any color, motif or size, if necessary. Scroll to the bottom on the page to the Add to Registry button on the left. Put the quantity you want in the box and click the button.
Click on Select next to the registry name. Look on the left side of the screen at the bottom for View Registry Contents and click on that. Change the quantity or check Remove, then click Update.
The most common way to let people know is by word of mouth. We will send you a sample e-mail that you can e-mail or send to your guests, and we can send you free registry cards which can be enclosed with your invitation. Some couples print the registry link on their invitations as well.
Your guests must know your last name or your co-registrant’s last name to find your registry. The registry and your shipping address are not visible to the general public. Guests will type in your last name in the search box in the lefthand column on the European Tableware home page.
Any gift giver is welcome to call us at 1-888-303-5473 US toll-free, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST to place an order or to ask a question. We can help them make a gift selection as well.
We will ship outside the continental United States but additional shipping charges may apply. Shipping charges can be quite high and may be a surprise to your gift givers. Shipping outside the United States can also incur duties and taxes for you, the recipient, which we are not responsible for.
Guests may have the gift sent to themselves so they can bring it to your event. Or, they can have it sent straight to you. We ship the gifts 3-4 weeks before the event, unless you let us know otherwise.
We offer you 10% off a one-time Completion Order to order anything that remains unpurchased on your Gift Registry. This offer is good one year from the date of the event. If you wish to take advantage of the discount, you must contact us so that we can give you the discount and free shipping.
A Gift Registry is a wish list created by a person or persons who are celebrating a special event. When you choose a gift from their registry, you are giving them exactly what they want. We wrap and ship the gift for free, so it is convenient for you as well.
No, you do not have to have a European Tableware account. An account does enable you to check the progress of your package and your order history, as well as store your addresses and shopping cart contents.
Yes, go ahead and create an account. You do not have to use it right away. Then you can enter the Gift Registry to make your purchase for the registrant if you wish.
Shipping within the continental United States is free. If the gift is to be shipped to an address outside the continental United States, a shipping charge will be automatically applied. If this amount is higher than the actual shipping cost, we will send you a partial refund.
Yes, gift wrapping is free. We use our signature silver paper (or a silver and white wedding-themed paper, if appropriate). To enclose a free card, type your greeting in the Comments box during checkout.
You can look at the Gift Registry with no obligation at any time. There is no minimum purchase required, and both gift wrap and shipping within the continental United States are free. Our registrants often choose items within a wide range of prices, starting as low as $15.
Yes, you may. If you purchase outside of the Gift Registry list, let us know in the Comments box during checkout that it is a gift for someone who has a registry with us. This way we can refund your shipping charges and offer you free gift wrap. You will have to know the registrant’s shipping address if you wish to have the gift shipped directly to them. We ship gifts 3-4 weeks before the event, unless you let us know when you wish them to be shipped.
Yes. Please call us at 1-888-303-5473, and we will create a gift card in your name for the registrant to be used toward anything they choose on their registry.
You can search by the registrant’s or co-registrant’s first and last names (spelled correctly) in the Gift Registry search box. If more than one registry comes up, click on the name you were looking for. If you are having trouble, please contact the registrant to make sure you have their name(s) correct.
Yes. Shipping within the continental United States is free. If the gift is to be shipped to an address outside the continental United States, a shipping charge will be automatically applied. If this amount is higher than the actual shipping cost, we will send you a partial refund.
We are glad to replace any broken items if it was our fault at our expense. Have the registrant contact us if this happens. We pack extremely securely so this rarely is an issue but we are happy to help if anything happens!
