Royal Worcester

Royal Worcester perfects casual and formal designs

From the finest bone china, to the versatility of porcelain, Royal Worcester offers a selection of patterns to suit a range of taste. Everyday porcelain like Evesham Gold is treasured for its beauty and versatility, including the pattern's oven-to-table baking dishes.

Traditional fine bone china patterns are well represented by Royal Worcester, including the favorite Christmas pattern Holly Ribbons. Choose from fine bone china patterns like the regal Howard Cobalt and Howard Cobalt Platinum, the Greek-inspired Corinth Platinum, the gold scroll work of Davenham, and the simple platinum banding of Monaco.

Children and adults will be charmed by the Days of the Week and Nursery Rhymes boxed sets. European Tableware is an authorized dealer of Royal Worcester and is happy to take special orders.

The Royal Worcester Story

In 1751, a group of businessmen established a porcelain manufactory on the bank of the River Severn in Worcester, England. From the beginning, great emphasis was placed on superb craftsmanship. During the early periods, several decorative styles were perfected by the company.

Worcester gained fame for their fine bone china Royal dinner services including the sumptuous Duke of Gloucester dinnerware, still offered today. In 1789, Worcester was granted the prestigious Royal Warrant by King George III, and added the word "Royal" to its name. The production of a new material named Parian, alongside new decorative styles, enabled Royal Worcester to revolutionize figure making in the second half of the nineteenth century.

This successful 250 year history is a reflection of its innovative heritage. Royal Worcester has maintained its prominence as one of the most sought after brands by important collectors and museums across the globe.
